Still time to vote in Thank You awards

Voters are being encouraged to nominate their unsung heroes in Filey in the prestigious Borough Big Thank You Awards.

Residents can now pick up a nomination form from the Filey Town Council offices, as the campaign to unearth the borough’s hidden treasures picks up pace, with the deadline for the awards less than a month away.

Nominations must be in by Friday February 8, ahead of the glitzy awards bash in April.

One Filey group has already received a nod, with the Filey Sea Cadets nominated in the uniformed youth group category.

Filey Mayor, Cllr Richard Walker, has previously called for the community to get behind the awards, as a way of saying thank you to the countless groups and volunteers who help to keep the town going.
