A SCARBOROUGH smallholder received a special delivery with 33 goslings.
Nigel Cunningham, 56, had taken 46 goose eggs to a hatchery at Ampleforth and was delighted when the majority hatched out.

Mr Cunningham, who has a smallholding at Scalby Lodge, said: "The chicks are absolutely brilliant. They were born in the early hours of Easter Sunday and I brought them back and got them settled under the heat lamps - they're doing really well."

Last year Mr Cunningham reared nearly 300 geese and said that some people buy them as pets. "They are good at keeping the grass down," he added.
