Danny Hunt has narrow escape
SCARBOROUGH escapologist Daniel Hunt left fans breathless when he successfully pulled off a dangerous stunt.
Daniel Hunt, 29, wowed a group of nervous fans in Blackpool's Sea Life Centre when he escaped from a water torture cell. Handcuffed at the waist and neck bound in stocks, he was lowered upside down into a small perspex tank which filled with water.
Emerging from the tank of death, Mr Hunt from Seamer said: "It was probably one of the most nerve-racking things I've ever done."
Mr Hunt used a hairpin to pick his way free. He was assisted by his on and off-stage partner, Annette Claire
She said: "I'm so relieved it's over. There's always the chan-ce something could go wrong and I've to be ready to help Danny if something does."
Mr Hunt will be performing again next week, showcasing a stunt called Torn Apart where, after being locked inside a wooden case, he will have just minutes to escape before he is torn apart by two powerful vehicles.
