ON PARADE ... Scarborough was the venue for this year's Trafalgar Day parade.
Yesterday cadets and staff from Scarborough, Filey, York and Hull gathered for the parade through the town, which is held each October to celebrate Nelson's victory at Trafalgar in 1805.
The event, which was organised by the North and East Yorkshire District Sea Cadets, also included a service at St Mary's Church.
Syd Garson, chairman of the unit management committee, said: "It is something that takes place every year and the cadets always look forward to it greatly. "The event alternates between the four units. Last year it was Filey."
The cadets assembled at Blenheim Terrace at 1pm, when they were inspected by the divisional officer and later the deputy mayor of Scarborough, Cllr Peter Booth.
