"THE biggest bevvy of beauty queens ever gathered together in North Yorkshire" will assemble for a pageant in York on Monday.
They include Rachael Richardson, from Filey.

Eight women will take part in a pageant held at York’s new Debenhams store to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the rebirth of the Miss York contest, with the winner taking home a new dress.

Among the contestants will be Miss England 2007 Georgia Horsley., from Malton.

Former beauty queen and model Vivienne Lee brought the glamorous Miss York contest back after an absence of more than 20 years, and is also the driving force behind the Miss Scarborough competition.

She said: “This is a unique chance to see eight stunning beauty queens at the same time and place.”

Among the beauty queens will be Georgia Horsley; Helen Lawal, the current Miss York and Miss Black Britain who is from Pickering; Hannah Rowe, Miss Hull and District 09 who lives in Bridlington and whose father lives near Peasholm Park; and Rachel Richardson, Miss ECO Scarborough 09, from Filey. Hannah and Rachel finished runners-up to Rachael Cooper in the Miss Scarborough 09 final.
