THREE Filey sisters have started a poster campaign in the hope that dog owners clear up after their pets.
Sam Jepson, of Ravine Top, and her three daughters are so sick of dog fouling in their street that they designed and created posters which are on display at Filey Pet Shop, in Union Street.

Sisters Shelley, 14, Tegan, seven and Holly, four, are urging people to be “responsible dog owners”.

Kathy Starling, owner of the pet shop, said: “The whole of Filey is drowning in dog mess and the problem seems to be getting worse.

“Sam came to me and told me the girls had made a poster and I said I would happily put some in the shop so they made some more.

“We hope that dog owners will take notice. It is not hard. We should all take responsibility for our dogs.”

Mrs Starling is selling dog waste bags on special offer at the moment in the hope people will buy them.

She is also selling the Friends of Filey Parks and Filey In Bloom responsible dog tags.
