Filey Festival lived up to its promise of having something for everyone during its first weekend.
Crowds flocked to the nine-day extravaganza, which was opened by Lady Heather Ayckbourn at the Evron Centre and featured a guard of honour by the Filey Sea Cadets.

It also included appearances from the Scarborough and Filey town criers, Alan Booth and Peter Bull, and a number of invited guests. Lady Ayckbourn who is a patron of the festival along with her husband, said: "It looks very professional."
