THE Hunmanby Trailer Project is back up and running.
The project, which specialises in picking up unwanted goods and recycling them where possible in return for donations, had been off the road for six weeks after a car smashed into the side of the trailer in Scarborough.

Co-ordinator Glen Miller said the impact had practically written it off, leaving him facing costs of more than £2,500 for a new aluminium trailer.

He said his insurance company was only prepared to pay out £300 as most of the parts of the original trailer were donated.

It looked like the end of the road until an old friend from Hunmanby stepped in and offered to make a new trailer.

Mr Miller said: "He said he wanted to help because he agreed with what we were doing. He doesn't want any attention for it but I can't thank him enough."
