LEARNER motorcyclists in Scarborough and Filey will have to travel 45 miles to Hull or 40 miles to York for their tests following changes involving the driving test centre at Cayton.
Scarborough MP Robert Goodwill asked in a written question in Parliament what plans there were for the centre.

Jim Fitzpatrick, parliamentary under-secretary at the Department for Transport, told him that from September motorcycle testing at Scarborough will move to the multi-purpose test centre in Hull.

He said that motorcycle test candidates would also have the option of travelling to York once the multi-purpose test centre there was acquired and operational.

Practical car driving tests will continue to be carried out at Scarborough driving test centre.
