CRIME in Filey has fallen from last year, according to new figures.
The latest statistics show there were 10 burglary incidents between April 1 and October 5, compared to 20 cases in the same period last year.
There was also a drop in criminal damage, which fell from 78 incidents to 60, and theft, which this year stands at 45 cases, compared to 60 during the same period 12 months ago.
The figures showed violence offences were slightly below last year’s figures, with 40 cases reported, compared to 43 in 2010.
Police also revealed there were 28 incidents reported in Filey in September, with two burglary and nine criminal damage offences.
There were also seven cases of theft and eight of violence.
