Police appeal over suspicious incidents

FILEY Police are investigating two suspicious incidents after schoolchildren were approached by men in vans.

The first case happened in Ash Road on Wednesday, February 9, when a man in a white van stopped a school pupil before offering him sweets.

The child refused and ran away.

The man was described as being quite old with grey or white hair and was driving a flat bed vehicle.

Yesterday police received a second call of a suspicious man offering sweets to another schoolchild who again refused and walked away.

The incident happened in Grove Road around 8.20am and the man was described as being around 35-years-old with short hair and brown eyes.

Police have said they would like to speak to the men and any other witnesses to the incidents.
