Old girls remember ‘best days of lives’

FORMER pupils at a Hunmanby school have been invited to join a reunion association.

Hunmanby Hall Old Girls Association is currently celebrating its 80th anniversary and marked the occasion with a ceremony featuring 260 former students.

The school closed down 21 years ago, however, the association has continued to thrive.

Caroline Donsworth, Chairman Designate, said: “It is simply amazing that so many old girls continue to support the association.

“It is to the credit of the school that we all continue to support each other and have a great time catching up.

“It is an incredible network of amazing people and we have old girls attending who did their school certificates in 1936 and also those who did their GCSEs in the summer of 1991.

“The Old Girls hold frequent area branch meetings and have an association reunion every autumn.

“Everyone is very welcome to join.”
