Schools are top of class!

YOUNGSTERS at primary schools in Filey and Hunmanby are sitting pretty after faring well in the latest Government league tables.

Hunmanby Primary School and Filey Junior School both comfortably met tough national targets for pupils in English and maths.

Hunmanby Primary School saw 82 per cent of its 22 pupils achieve level four or higher in national tests, with Filey Junior School averaging 72 per cent from the results of its 67 youngsters.

The Government’s expected average is 60 per cent.
