Lesson in how to be success story

FILEY Men’s Lunch Club has resumed again after its summer break.

The speaker was club member Graham Foster, whose subject on the day was ‘Failure made Good’.

He gave a highly entertaining account of his working life.

Mr Foster revealed that, although he had been labelled a failure at school, he had built a successful career as a coach operator, in sales and finally in financial services.

He told the club that his ambition was always to own a Rolls Royce.

However, when he finally did so, he didn’t keep it long because it was continually scratched and vandalised.

The club meets on the first Monday of each month at the White Lodge Hotel, in The Crescent.

Further details are available from the membership secretary, Cec White, on (01723) 512932.
