A DAREDEVIL Hunmanby woman is flying high after a sponsored parachute jump.
Lisa Thompson, of Constable Road, carried out the terrifying leap at Grindale to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Ms Thompson, who works at the Cottage Inn, in Cross Hill, is on top the world after the jump, which has raised at least £1,000 for the charity.
However, she revealed said the fundraiser nearly didn’t get off the ground.
She said: “My first jump was cancelled because of the weather which was so disappointing.
“However, they phoned me a few days later saying I could go up and I did it on the same day.
“It was absolutely out of this world and so surreal and I wanted to do it again.
“I would also like to thank everyone who has helped and supported me and also the Cottage Inn, the Horseshoe Inn, Stonegate Garage, Hunmanby Pantry, the Co-operative, the butchers and Aerial Express for all of their help and support in assisting me with the jump.”
