New warning for drivers

MOTORISTS across Filey and Hunmanby have been alerted to more speed patrols in the area.

North Yorkshire Police will again be monitoring the A1039 Filey Road, in Flixton, and the A165 Reighton bypass, between Sands Road and Hunmanby Road.

The force’s mobile speed camera van, will be tracking drivers until Tuesday, November 22.

Officers have warned the camera van will be monitoring the routes at different times during each day and patrols could change without prior notice.

More than 630 motorists have been caught over the speed limit on the A1039 in Flixton since the operation began around six months ago.
