A selection of shows for children have been announced for the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

The Channel 5 children’s show, Milkshake! Live is a brand new musical spectacular, which is sure to have children up on their feet and singing at the top of their voices. The show will be taking place on Wednesday August 13.

Joining the show will be two Milkshake! presenters who will take the audience on a fun adventure that is bound to dazzle and delight.

The show features brand new songs, classic favourites and funky dance routines, plus plenty of laughter, bags of audience interaction and bucket loads of fun for all the family.

Tickets for the event, priced at £10, will go on sale at the Open Air Theatre Box Office from Saturday in person or by telephone: 01723 818111.

Following on from that some of children’s television’s best loved characters will be part of an action packed afternoon’s entertainment on Sunday August 24.

Bob the Builder will be performing in his ‘Sunflower Sailor’ mini show starting at 1pm, with further appearances scheduled. Angelina Ballerina is also set to appear on stage in the afternoon. These popular characters will also be making separate personal appearances within the theatre grounds at intervals during the day. Peppa Pig and George will also be present as part of the entertainment programme; the Peppa Pig brand is celebrating 10 years of Muddy Puddles in 2014.

The theatre will open at noon for pre-show activities and stalls, which will continue throughout the event. These include: a balloon man, bouncy castle, face painting and a silent jam hub.

Again tickets cost £10 and are on sale from Saturday.
