FILEY Town Crier David Bull proved he was a cut above the rest after raising £277.18 for charity.
Mr Bull took part in a hair-raising moustache trim when he agreed to lose his trademark fuzz during the recent RNLI SOS Day.
Mr Bull attracted a hoard of female onlookers at the lifeboat base in Coble Landing as Michael Farline got to work on his facial features.
Mr Bull said at the time: “I shall miss it but my wife Denise is certainly looking forward to it.
“But I don’t think I’ll be bare-faced for long though I will keep any regrowth to a reasonable length.”
Gil Byrne, Filey Ladies Lifeboat Guild Secretary, added: “On behalf of the RNLI and the Ladies Lifeboat Guild we would like to thank all the sponsors for the generous donations.”
