Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing teenager who is believed to be in the Scarborough area.

16-year-old Joshua Greaves has been missing from his home in Harrogate since 6 August 2013 and officers need to speak to him to make sure that he is safe and well.

Joshua is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall, with a slim build and short brown hair.

It is believed that he is currently in Scarborough and officers are appealing to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.

Inspector Mike Harvey, of Scarborough police, said: “It is important that we locate Joshua and make sure that he is ok.

“He has been away from home for some time now and I would urge anyone who knows where he is to contact the police as soon as possible.

“I also urge Joshua himself to come forward if he sees this appeal so that we can check on his welfare.”

Anyone with any information that can help to locate Joshua Greaves is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
