Residents in Filey now have the chance to try out new sporting activities thanks to a new multi-sport initiative.

Active Coast and Country, a new multi–sports programme to deliver sport in the community, has launched the Leisure and Social Afternoon in Filey Concert Hall.

A spokesperson said: “The leisure afternoons take place Thursdays between 1pm and 2.30pm and include activities such as walking football, badminton and boccia.

“The sessions are open to adults and priced reasonable at £2 which includes a drink. Please come along and join in, as this is an ideal opportunity to make new friends while doing moderate exercise.”

Meanwhile, a multi–sports session for children aged eight to 11 will take place in February half-term at Filey Concert Hall on Wednesday 17 February between 1pm and 3.30pm.

The session costs £8 and children will be able to try a variety of sports.

Places will be limited so booking is required for this session.
