Food lovers have been flocking to Filey to sample some of the finest grub on the Yorkshire Coast at the town’s second annual food festival.
Local eateries and traders have been showcasing their produce in the scenic Evron Centre Gardens at the event, which has grown considerably in size this year.
The team behind Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre had been brought in to aid organisers to try and turn the event into a major attraction,
Besides produce stalls and cooking demonstrations, there is also a real ale festival, a fairground and several popular bake off competitions.
There is also live music and entertainment from Yorkshire Coast College pupils.
The weekend long festival is expected to see thousands of people flock to the seaside town.
It’s hoped the event will give a big boost to local businesses, following bumper takings over the weekend of the 2012 event.
The event takes place today and all day Sunday.
