TWITCHERS and animal fans in the Filey and Hunmanby area can take advantage of a plethora of wildlife events this month.
The RSPB are holding family-friendly activities in Filey Country Park throughout August.
The events will feature a nature walk every Thursday around the park at 10.30am and again at 1.30pm, for visitors to see seabirds, sandmartins, butterflies and toads.
Two ‘life on the edge’ walks will also be taking place to look at inter-tidal wildlife such as hermit crabs, velvet swimming crabs and sea slugs.
These will take place at 9.30am on Friday, August 12, and 1pm on Friday, August 19.
Organisers have said anyone interested in taking part should dress accordingly for the terrain, with the meeting point for all walks near the cafe in the Country Park.
