YOUNGSTERS at a Filey childcare group enjoyed some animal magic during a real hands-on experience.

Around 50 children from Filey Childcare were treated to a visit from Animals In-Tuition, who showed how to care for various creatures including rats, frogs, hens, turtles and spiders.

Christine Sutherby, manager of Filey Childcare, said the youngsters had thoroughly enjoyed getting close to the animals.

She added: “It was a really good learning experience and the children had a fantastic day.

“We have some guinea pigs here and the children really like looking after them so we thought this day was the next step for them to learn about how to respect animals.

“They got to learn about where the different animals lived, what their habitats were and how to care for each one.”
