Letter: Dismay at no facilities

Toilet facilities shut in the summer season.
Toilet facilities shut in the summer season.

One might credibly assume that the council of a prime tourist town in a county with the highest proportion of over 60s, would carefully consider the needs of those sectors.

One might further assume that in an era of reducing deficit, money-making propositions would be nurtured.

So, it is a nasty surprise to find that a popular putting green, in a prime South Cliff spot, bringing in £10,000 per year rent, has had its toilet facilities shut in the summer season, with no temporary facilities in place.

It isn’t much relief to be assured of permanent replacements at some point in the distant future.
