Why are Robert Goodwill MP (Immigration Minister) and Amber Rudd continuing to ignore their responsibilities to the child refugees in Calais?
At least 178 unaccompanied children have been identified in the camp that have ties to the UK, with more than another 200 eligible to come to Britain under an amendment to the Immigration Act.
That was last May, and only 72 children have been brought here, many having endured deplorable conditions for over two years. It beggars belief that the Home Office has yet to send officials to Calais to identify and process cases as a matter of urgency!
Already, many children have disappeared, either trafficked or trying to escape by risking jumping on to lorries and dying in the process.
