Letter: Who leaves all this litter behind at Oliver's Mount?

Disgusted at amount of litter.
Disgusted at amount of litter.

This last bank holiday we were celebrating our diamond anniversary and went up to Oliver’s Mount to visit the war memorial as Frank, my husband, lost two uncles in World War One. Herbert and Walter Allan, and his older brother Wilfred in the Second World War.

We were disgusted at the behaviour of some people and the amount of litter left, lottery scratch cards, lots of broken glass, plastic that holds four cans etc – the worst was somebody had had fireworks and left the cardboard holders. There was a box of matches scattered, with other litter.
