HUNMANBY Hornets ace Phil Bean made an instant impact on his return to the team after suffering a broken leg earlier in the Sunday League division three season.
Bean bagged a brace as his Hornets side claimed maximum points with an 8-0 victory at lowly Heslerton last weekend.

Ricky Tomlinson fired Hunmanby ahead in this encounter and the lead was soon doubled through former Boro goalkeep
er Jon Hyde.

Goals from Cameron Dobson and Chris Snowden meant Hornets were 4-0 up at the break.

Dave Wedge and Pete Grimwood got their names on the scoresheet before Bean chipped in with a brace.

Bean was making a comeback after a period out with a broken leg suffered in a match against itis itis earlier in the season.

Hunmanby player-boss Chris Duley said: “Well done to Phil for getting back and for scoring the goals. He had a bad injury but he is so enthusiastic that he is already back playing.”

The Hornets are due to be in East Riding Cup action tomorrow morning, when they play host to Leconfield United in the third round of the Vice-President’s Cup, 11am kick-off.

FC Filey are in third division action at home to struggling Pirates tomorrow, 10.30am kick-off, while Filey Flyers are at West Pier Reserves in the Senior Cup, 10am ko.
