Bowes targets KO success for Beckett team

THE Scarborough and District Beckett League's representative side will be looking to go one further this year when they get their Nixon Yorkshire Inter-League KO adventure underway.
Foords’ in-form all-rounder Paul Bowes will be one of the key men when the Beckett League start up against the Nidderdale League tomorrow at Staxton, 2pm.

They were edged out in the final of the competition last year by the South Yorkshire League.

Staxton’s John Mancrief will be leading the side, and he will be joined by three other team-mates in keeper James Armstrong, Rob Pinder and Chris Dove.

Beckett League team: John Mancrief, James Armstrong, Rob Pinder, Chris Dove (all Staxton), Ben Luntley, Rich Malthouse, Jake Dudding (all Cloughton), Colin Palmer, Tom Bumby (both Ebberston), Paul Woodhead (Cayton), Paul Bowes (Foords).
