FILEY School's Year Eight cricketers are closing in on a highly impressive double.
Having already won the Scarborough and District eight-a-side competition, they are now in the semi-finals of the District’s 11-a-side event.

They booked their spot after beating Ryedale School by seven wickets.

Ryedale totalled 81 from their innings, a tally that was almost matched by Filey in double-quick time - after just three overs they had reached 53-0.

Openers Zac Newton struck 22 and Kieran Gould powered an impressive unbeaten 30 from just eight balls, as Filey proved too hot for Ryedale and they marched through into the last four of the district competition.
