The Saturday Scarborough Yacht Club race was the two handed race, which means that each boat had to have only two people on board.
Eleven yachts turned out to race on a miserable wet and cold evening with a blustery wind. The course was twice round the Wheatcroft Buoy.

Humdinger won, followed by Tomahawk and Zeris.

Glyn Simpson, Humdinger's skipper said: "We had a great start. We got over the line well ahead of the others, and had clean air. Coming back from the Wheatcroft, we were surfing at 11 knots."

Tomahawk's skipper, Tom Clark, said: "Humdinger was well in front. Everybody else had a good tussle with each other."

Zeris helm, Dave Flett, said: "We could not catch Humdinger. It was an exciting race. We had a battle with Phansey That and Tomahawk."
