LONG-SERVING player Paul Allick has stepped up as new Filey Town manager.

Allick, who replaces Dave Brannan, will hold a dual role, linking his managerial duties with the playing side.

Brannan decided to step down at the end of last season following a number of seasons in charge of the Clarence Drive club.

He did sign off with a victory though, as his side defeated Hunmanby United in the final of the District Cup at Bridlington's Queensgate ground.

*For this story, and a great package of more sport and features, you need a copy of the Filey Mercury.
