A HOST of new sides will be gunning for Evening News League Trophy glory when the competition gets underway.
All eight of the new teams have claimed their place in the draw, and each will be keen to get away to winning ways.

Newlands Park Reserves, whose first team won the competition last season, Seamer Reserves and Eastfield Reserves have already booked a place in the next round after receiving a bye.

Riskers haven’t been so lucky though, as they must travel to one of the favourites in Edgehill Reserves.

Castle Tavern do have a home tie, but they will come up against Ayton, while Filey Spartans are on their travels at Hull University.

West Pier Reserves are away in their opening game against Scalby Reserves, and the final new team, Ryedale, will be away against fellow third division side Westover.

Matty Dawson’s Seamer, who gained promotion from division three last term, will entertain Ganton.
