Scarborough Athletic Reserves claimed a 2-1 home win against North Cave to pull further away from the relegation zone in the Humber Premier League premier division.

Former Hunmanby United marksman Cameron Dobson and Jack Wood netted the crucial goals for Gary Simm’s side.

Boro’s second string are now 11th in the 15-team league and with several games in hand on their rivals they should be safe from the drop as long as they maintain their current good form.

The reserves are in action at second-placed Beverley Town on Saturday, 2pm kick-off.
