Goal Sports warmed up for their big League Trophy final on Wednesday with a 3-1 win against Commercial tonight.

The away side took a surprise lead through a Macauley Youngson strike, but George Friend levelled from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the area.

After 60 minutes Friend had the chance to put his side ahead when the hosts won another penalty, but he this time spurned his opportunity.

It wasn't to prove too costly as Sam Whitehead put Goal Sports 2-1 up after 70 minutes, before Tom Duckworth chested down the ball and fired in to seal the 3-1 win with five minutes left on the clock.

Tom Hudson and Gareth Driver stood out for Mark Plumpton's victors, who meet Edgehill Reserves at Mill Lane on Wednesday night.
