Shaun Mancrief has stepped down as manager of Saturday League first division club Newlands Park.

Mancrief leaves the club after winning a string of trophies in his tenure, including the Division One title and League Cup among others, and has been replaced by former boss Geoff Nock.

"I really enjoyed my time with the lads and committee," said departing gaffer Mancrief.

"It's a fantastic club. Good luck to Geoff and I will continue to support the team."

Park chairman Joe Hakings said: "Geoff is a great appointment and a people's man. I wish him every success.

"I would just like to say a massive thank you to Shaun (Mancrief) for all his help input and achievements for NPFC.

"He achieved success in lots of competitions winning lots of trophies and most notably the league for the first time in our history.

"He always behaved with humility and dignity and he was held in high esteem by his peers and all at NPFC. He is a true gent. I wish him well."
