Wykeham Under-16s collected the Greenwood Hire Derwent Valley Junior League trophy after their final game of the season at runners-up Flixton.

The visitors suffered a six-wicket reverse, but they had already secured the league crown beforehand.

Elliot Hatton bagged superb figures of 4-10 as the champions limped to 79-7, their top scorer being Tom Poor with 30 retired.

Marley Ward’s 27, allied to an unbeaten 19 from Luke Smith, then wrapped up the win for the hosts.

Wykeham under-13s beat Pickering Under-13s by 27 runs in the Greenwood Hire Derwent Valley Junior KO Cup final at Snainton.

Batting first, Wykeham openers Henry Tubbs and Max Lane both retired on 26 and 25 respectively along with Tom Owen, batting at number three, finishing on 19 not out.

This, along with 24 extras made Wykeham’s innings close on 107-6.

Pickering were soon in trouble, losing both openers in the first five overs to the excellent bowling of man of the match Tubbs (2-17) as the Pikes limped to 80 -7.
