Although most outdoor sports were called off over the weekend Scarborough Archers managed to complete round eight of their winter Frostbite competition.

A ‘Frostbite’ round is 36 arrows shot at 30m to an 80cm target face, two rounds per month over the winter period with the best six scores counting towards the trophy.

Seventeen dedicated members turned out where hand warmers and flasks of coffee were the order of the day. Despite shooting in sub- zero temperatures, scoring was still high.

The best three scores on the day going to Robin Little 306, Roger Greaves 303 and Neil Simms 294. The junior section’s top scorers were Phil Simms 267, T Jay 13.
