Local anglers Dave Adamson and Dave Bielby won their respective boating and roving competitions at the annual Scarborough Angling Festival on Tuesday.

Adamson won the Sydney Herbert Challenge Trophy boating competition with a total of 31lb, just ahead of Bielby (28-12-0).

Bielby bounced back with a win in the Teanby Challenge Trophy, which is a limited roving competition, netting 12-13-2 to secure pole position, Liam Costin securing second with 11-9-8 and Phil France third with 11-5-6 - France also netted the heaviest fish, a cod of 8-5-6.
