SCARBOROUGH Sixth Form College students organised an action-packed multi-sports event for Gladstone Road School pupils, which was a big hit with all involved.

The event was held by the Sixth Form’s BTEC Sport and HSLA students to thank Gladstone Road for their help, as the teenagers have been organising and leading sports at the primary school throughout the academic year. The sports at the event included benchball, tri-golf, football and Kwik Cricket.

The College’s Higher Sports Leader mentor Wendy Craig-Tyler said: “It was a great event with excellent organisation skills.

Gladstone games co-ordinator Les Ramm added: “When you see smiles and laughter you know the children have had a good time.

Shiona Head, of the college sports department, said: “I am extremely proud and very impressed with the whole group!”

The college are holding an open day tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm.
