SCALBY B showed their all-round abilities in a convincing 55-run home victory against a youthful Pickering C side in a one-sided division C encounter.

The hosts batted first and totalled 130-5 thanks to Ryan Labuschagne (28 ret), James Reddish (25 ret) and Harry Soper (25 ret).

Jonnie Bayes was the pick of the Pickering bowling attack with 2-19.

Scalby’s bowlers, Sam Hepples, (2-6), Toby Pearce (3-10), and Dan Dawes, (3-8) proved too strong for the young Pikes side.

Only Ryan Taylor (19) and Will Taylor (10) managed to reach double figures as Pickering finished on 75-9 from their 20 overs.
