Tom Brough, 43, led the way for Ebberston against Seamer but after 16 overs the match had to be abandoned due to rain with the home team on 78-4, a situation that left Seamer in the bottom two and relegated them to Division A next season.

After tea, Jeff Morrison dispatched Mick Glew for eight but Jonny Hays, 15no, and Morris, 17no, ensured no further wickets fell until rain prevented further play after 8.4 overs with Valley on 42-1.

Heslerton’s match versus Flamborough was rained off without a ball being bowled.
