Scarborough Athletic kicked off their pre-season preparatory work on Saturday at York College.

There was a large turn-out of players from last season, new faces and trialists for a session run by assistant boss Chris Bolder and watched over by manager Steve Kittrick.

Among the new players on show were former Doncaster Rovers man Craig Nelthorpe and ex-Shaw Lane keeper Tom Morgan.

Striker David Brown, who was a part of the NCEL Premier championship winning team, also turned out.

Prior to the training, a number of players signed forms with the club for the new season.

Among them were Eddy Birch, Callum Robinson, Jamie Price, Matty Bloor, Joe Lamplough and Paul Robson.

Paul Beesley, Callum Terrell and Morgan also put pen to paper.

Kittrick said: “It was a good session, it is good to finally get back to it.

“There were a good number of lads from last season, a few new lads and a few trialists we will be looking at over the next few weeks.”

Boro kick off their pre-season games a week on Saturday when they take on the Scarborough News League representative team at Scarborough RUFC’s Silver Royd.
