A Filey-based firm is celebrating 45 years in business with the news that it is enjoying record growth.
Pulsar Instruments has marked the milestone by recording a 40 per cent spike in business, due to the excessive demand for its noise measuring equipment, which help protect employees’ hearing.
And despite being tucked away in Filey, the firm is aiming to become a world leader in its field within the next decade.
Sarah Brack, who is the only female manufacturing chief in the noise measurement industry, says: “Our success is down to a lot of hard work.
“Everyone is clear on what they need to do to get where we want to be. We chase every opportunity, explore every avenue and we won’t let go until we get the order.
“It’s a real team effort.”
Sarah, who is predicting 40 per cent growth for 2014, added: “The dream is to become the industry leader across the world.
“We are experts in noise at work and we want to be the first name in our sector.
“We are hugely proud to be made in Yorkshire. We want to be the best in the world and we won’t stop until we’ve achieved that.”
