A STUDENT who disappeared near Bempton Cliffs a year ago could have been lured to an underground bunker, it has been claimed.
Russell Bohling, 18, from West Ella, in East Yorkshire, went missing after his car was found at Bempton Cliffs RSPB nature reserve.
However, his father, Roger, said he believes his son was drawn to the bunker after uploading information about erotic paintings and the occult.
He said: “The site was used for a number of years by occult followers to hold meetings and the walls of the tunnel are decorated with quite impressive erotic Satanic paintings.
“What is going to attract an 18-year-old boy? It’s going to be the paintings rather than its unremarkable history as a Cold War site.”
Despite extensive land, sea and air searches in the Filey area, police are still no closer to finding the apprentice bricklayer.
Before his disappearance, the 18-year-old was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black trainers and anyone with information is urged to contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060222.
