ORGANISERS behind Muston’s world famous Scarecrow Festival have announced changes to their line-up.
Cllr Godfrey Allanson has replaced Mal Magson as chairman of the group with Barry Gibson becoming the vice-chairman.
June Walker, who was charged with organising entertainment provision, has also stood down from her role.
Cllr Allanson praised Mrs Magson and Mrs Walker for all of their work, adding the committee presented them with bouquets and heart-felt thanks for all of their efforts.
He said: “We would like to thank them for their sterling work and Mal will be staying on to help with the artistic side of things after producing some fabulous work in the past.
“I am very pleased to say we have got a really strong committee, complete with some new members, who are really enthusiastic about the festival.
“I feel quite confident that we will have another good year.”
Cllr Allanson added organisers have arranged for a Christmas party in Muston Village Hall on the afternoon of Saturday, December 10, for the youngsters and their parents who helped with this year’s festival to enjoy some early festive cheer.
The show will be Mother Goose, and performed by a travelling company, and cllr Allanson said Father Christmas was also set to make an appearance.
