RESIDENTS across the Filey and Hunmanby area can learn a new skill thanks to the launch of a new campaign.
Courses ranging from English maths, cookery and foreign language are on offer in a new scheme put forward by North Yorkshire County Council.
The event takes place between 10am and 1pm in Scarborough Library and Information Centre, in Vernon Road.
Course providers will be on hand to discuss various issues with people and what courses are available for those in the Filey and Hunmanby area.
County Cllr Chris Metcalfe, the authority’s executive member for adult and community services said the courses gave everyone a chance to learn something new.
He added: “Adult Learners Week is an annual event in our libraries.
“It is a valuable way of encouraging adults to learn whilst at the same time giving us the opportunity to let people know about the services we have on offer in our libraries to help people in learning new skills.”
