CRIME in Filey has fallen during the last year, according to new figures.
Filey police have revealed new statistics showing there were 51 fewer crimes between April 1 and September 7 compared to the same period last year.
Burglaries in the town fell 50 per cent, with only eight reported incidents.
Incidents of theft also fell, with 37 reported incidents compared to 53 the previous year.
There was also a sharp decline in the number of reported incidents of violence and criminal damage in the period,
However, the figures showed last month was one of the busiest for police, with 37 incidents reported police, including 13 cases of criminal damage.
Anti-social behaviour peaked in July, with 22 reported cases, along with nine reported disputes between neighbours.
