FILEY and District University of the Third Age are holding their inaugural meeting next week.
The group, which is run by local volunteers, provides opportunities for retired or semi-retired people to share social, leisure and intellectual experiences.
Members work together to form their own interest groups, appoint a group co-ordinator and then study their chosen activity.
Courses range from theatre, family history, creative writing and music appreciation as well as computers, walking and crafts.
There is no lower age limit for members and no qualifications are needed or awarded from the course.
The meeting takes place in the Evron Centre Concert Hall, on Thursday, July 28, at 2pm.
Refreshments will be served.
