THRILL-SEEKING students from Filey School have been experiencing the great outdoors.
A large group of Year eight pupils visited Bewerley Park Outdoor Centre for a week long trip which focused on team building, as well as trying to push the students physical and mental limits.
It was a chance for students to their hand at a series of once in a lifetime activities.
In total, 65 students visited the park for the trip, which seen them tackle physically demanding activities such as rock climbing, canoeing and orienteering.
The students also tried their hand at extreme sports such as gorge walking, abseiling and the infamous ‘Leap of Faith’, and the pupils teacher Miss Bettley believes the trip proved incredibly beneficial to the youngsters.
She said: “All of the students thoroughly enjoyed their week spent at Bewerley Park and gained some essential lifelong experiences.”
