Colour the Coast participant Ingrid Pashby has won £150 worth of high street vouchers following her fundraising efforts for Saint Catherine’s Hospice.
Mrs Pashby took part in the 5k race along Filey beach to raise money for the hospice in May with more than 700 hundred other fun-loving fundraisers who dashed along the sands doused in a kaleidoscope of colour.
She said: “‘We had an absolutely wonderful time.
“Seven members of the family from age six to 69 took part and we loved it. We ran in memory of two members of our family, Mr Kenneth Haigh and Mrs Anne Sanderson, who had both received care at Saint Catherine’s. We are already looking forward to taking part next year.”
All those who raised over £100 in sponsorship for the event were entered into the draw. Ingrid’s name was picked at random to receive the vouchers that were donated by Natwest Bank Scarborough.
The event has raised £35,000 for patient care.
Money raised will help towards the £6.2m needed each year to run services over a huge area including Scarborough, Filey, Whitby, Bridlington, Driffield and Ryedale.
